DIGITAL MEDIA INTERN

Gupta Media is a digital advertising agency that specializes in media buying, creative services and technology solutions. Our clients include record labels like Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment, festivals like The Governor’s Ball and Bonnaroo, and brands like Fender and Red Bull.

We are currently seeking an intern to work alongside and assist our Media team. As an intern, you will participate in the research, strategy and management of campaigns while gaining hands-on experience with Google, Bing, Facebook and Twitter advertising platforms.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Researching and reporting on latest digital trends
  • Assisting with management and optimization of campaigns
  • Helping research and build media plans for a variety of projects
  • Analyzing data from campaigns and building reports to present results
  • Joining and contributing to team meetings and brainstorms
  • Studying for and passing the AdWords Fundamentals exam

IDEAL CANDIDATES

  • Currently enrolled in college (Junior/Senior) or a recent graduate, in a related field
  • Working knowledge of platforms like Google, Bing, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat
  • Deeply interested in digital marketing, past internship experience a plus
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel
  • Able to come up with unique, non-traditional ideas for new projects
  • Able to manage several different projects simultaneously
  • Able to work efficiently, independently and with a high level of professionalism
  • Able to commit 16-24 hours/week

DIGITAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

  • Digital MarketingWe’ll teach you everything we know. From how to build campaigns on platforms like Google AdWords, Facebook and Twitter, to strategic targeting methods designed to reach the right people at the right time across all platforms. You’ll A/B test ad copy in Page Post Ads. You’ll know when to use CPM, CPC, CPV and CPA bidding. You’ll preach our Four Pillars to the masses.
  • Communication – The truth is, a lot of that stuff up there is going to be automated some day. When cars are driving themselves around, machines will be setting your CPC bids as well. To prepare for the robot uprising, Coordinators and Analysts will arm themselves with the ability to interpret data and communicate value to our clients. Which brings us to…
  • Analytics – Data powers everything that we do. You should know your way around Excel. You should know what a pivot table is. Familiarity with Google Analytics will serve you well. Do you belong to multiple fantasy sports leagues? Do you get your political coverage from FiveThirtyEight? Have you created a spreadsheet to try and predict the winner of The Bachelor? If so, you’ll probably love it here.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher – Marketing, Advertising, Business, Economics. If your studies have prepared you well for the responsibilities listed above, you should apply.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3 or higher
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel – Know the basic functions, understand advanced formulas. You will be using this every day.
  • Leadership Experience – Were you a captain on your sports team? Yearbook editor? The reason your group got an A on your final project? Be prepared to talk to us about it.
  • Ability to work both in group setting and independently – Ours is a fast-paced environment, where rush requests and last-minute updates are the norm. You will receive intensive training and guidance from your managers, but also be expected to work independently when the situation calls for it.

FRONT END SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Gupta Media is looking for a front end software engineer to join our growing engineering team. Candidates should have a CS (or similar) background with 2 to 5 years of experience in web application development. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter with attention to detail, who keeps up with the latest developments in the web space. Your role will be working with other engineers as well as our design team to build interactive web applications for our clients and internal projects. At times you will be making progress on multiple projects simultaneously as we are constantly taking on new opportunities.

Are you constantly opening your dev tools on sites that you visit to see how they work?  Do sites with poor user experiences bother you? Can you look at images and convert them to CSS in your head? If so, then we would like to talk with you.

Candidates should be experienced with:

  • writing clean HTML5 / CSS3
  • creating Javascript intensive interfaces
  • SASS or LESS
  • WordPress (or similar) theme development

ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR

We are looking for someone who can perform Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions which includes crafting invoices, detailed tracking of the collections process, classifying credit card charges and account reconciliations. The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for making sure that the billing process is as smooth as possible from beginning to end; this involves working closely with all corners of the office as well as interacting directly with clients.  Effective collaboration and clear communication are crucial for success in this role.

Gupta Media is looking for an Executive Administrator to coordinate and facilitate the day to day responsibilities of our founder, as well as manage office operations. Candidates should be proactive, forward thinking, and possess an innate sense of standard for managing executive schedules and events. As an Executive Administrator, you are expected to excel in the following tasks:

PROJECT MANAGER

Gupta Media is seeking a Project Manager to lead internal projects for smartURL (a URL management platform) and Report(SE) (our agency’s client-facing reporting suite). In addition to managing these two projects, the project manager will coordinate internal projects across our engineering, media and design teams. This person will report to our Founder and work closely with our engineering team.

Required Skills

  • Strong skills in coordinating among internal stakeholders, leading projects, and goal accomplishment under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to take loosely defined information and create project timelines, understand dependencies.
  • Deep understanding of web technology. You should be able to talk intelligently about databases, coding, UI/UX, development cycles.
  • Comfortable leading discussions with internal/external stakeholders, clients and vendors.
  • Self-starter/internally-motivated/passion for startup culture.

Required Background

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business or related fields, four + years product management/marketing experience preferred.
  • Four to eight years experience, and two years in project management.
  • Experience leading teams in startup environment is a plus.
