Marina Vranos (pronounced vrae-nos) is a digital advertising shark. Originally hailing from Greenfield, Massachusetts, she was a member of the extremely well-represented class of 2016 at Boston College (go Eagles!). At BC, she spent quality time in the classroom finishing a double major in marketing and environmental geoscience and quality time in the pool serving as the captain of the BC diving team, which made it to the ACC Championships three times.
Joining Gupta Media in the fall of 2016, Marina has been an all-star since day one. Working in tandem with major label clients such as Def Jam Recordings and Interscope Records, she has been the lead analyst for more than 15 #1 albums including Kanye West’s ‘Ye’ and Eminem’s ‘Kamikaze.’ More recently, she’s stepped outside of the label world and has worked on a number of high-profile brand and festival clients while also being an integral part of coordinating the Gupta Media internship program both internally and by maintaining a close relationship with potential hires from BC. I think I speak for her too when I say that us co-managing Samantha Kelley as an intern, who is now a full-time member of the Gupta team, was a career highlight to-date.
When she’s not driving streaming numbers for your favorite new album, she loves to go scuba diving, snowboarding or fishing – really anything outdoors. She also enjoys spending time with her family’s dog – a sweet golden named Samson – and is committed to having a dog of her own someday. Knowing how driven she is, I’m 100% certain she will. Marina is a vital part of what makes the wheels at Gupta Media turn and I can’t wait to see what she does next.
