Video Page Post Ad (VPA)

A type of Facebook ad displayed in a user’s newsfeed that includes a video.

Video View

Facebook/Instagram: when your video is played for three seconds or more.

Twitter: when your video is watched in 50% view for 2 seconds or more, or when a user clicks to expand/unmute your video.

Google: when a user watches 30 seconds of your video ad (or the duration if it’s shorter than 30 seconds)

Video Views 100%

The number of times your video was watched to its completion, including watches that skipped to this point.

Video Views 25%

The number of times your video was watched at 25% of its length, including watches that skipped to this point.

Video Views 50%

The number of times your video was watched at 50% of its length, including watches that skipped to this point.

Video Views 75%

The number of times your video was watched at 75% of its length, including watches that skipped to this point.

View Rate

A ratio showing the number of views of a video to the number of impressions served.

View-Through Conversion

When a user completes a conversion after being served an ad, but not clicking on the ad.

Viewable CPM (vCPM)

The cost per thousand viewable impressions served. Viewability may be defined differently depending on the platform being used. For example, an ad is counted as viewable on Google when 50 percent of the ad shows on screen for one second or longer for display ads, and two seconds or longer for video ads.

Virtual Reality (VR)

Virtual Reality is a computer-generated experience that incorporates auditory, visual, and interactive components. VR is experienced through a range of technology, like headsets, projectors, and smartphones.
