Leveraging ‘Host-Read’ Ads on Popular Podcasts
We have recently been implementing advertising strategies for podcasts, targeting listeners and subscribers.
These selected spots act as an awareness driver (as opposed to Search and Socials that are more direct-response), though call-to-actions are used.
We’ve been able to create plans across networks that focus on host-read (for authenticity and impact) mid-roll ads.
Statistically, Mid-roll ads are more likely to get listened to during these live read segments. Since these ‘commercial breaks’ are coming from a favored source, i.e. the host, the promotions are more personal and trusted.
We have selected placement on popular programs that align with the audiences that clients are trying to reach such as:
