Gogi Gupta
Founder
Gogi Gupta graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Consumer Economics/Policy Analysis & Management. After graduation he worked in Management Consulting Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York, advising major financial corporations on their internal technology applications. In 2003, Gogi was hired to oversee the development of E3Insider, E3's consumer-facing portal and run E3's new Sponsorship program. In this role, Gogi was able to combine his knowledge of web and onsite technology with his creative insight and passion for creating partnerships.
Gogi's vision of Gupta Media started in 2001, and finally came into fruition in 2003 when his work with his record labels, video game and live events clients showed him how much he truly enjoyed the nexus of industries - where web development and music meet, where video games and events meet, etc. Gupta Media gave him the ability to work on projects that excited him, build a team that had the talent to turn new vision into reality, and work with clients that inspired him to keep "pushing it to the limit".
From my time working here, there are two major characteristics that I would fondly consider Gogisms. The first is Gogi's innate love for numbers. He is constantly questioning results, extracting insight, and looking for areas of improvement. The second is Gogi's intrinsic entrepreneurial fiber. Not a day passes when he doesn't ask "What do you guys think about ..." I have already had the pleasure of making some of these ideas a reality, and can't wait to see what lies on the horizon.
When not contemplating what endeavor Gupta Media will launch into next, Gogi loves rooting for Matsuzaka at the Red Sox games, golf, softball and volleyball.

Jason Frank
Chief Architect
Jason Frank is our Chief Architect. He's responsible for creating all of the applications that Gupta Media makes available to our clients. Although Jason is smart (Stanford BS & MS) and a computer whiz, I think that his most remarkable asset is his ability to understand problems and find solutions.
Before joining Gupta Media, Jason worked at Monitor Group building market analysis software. Before Monitor, Jason was at Stanford earning degrees in Psychology and Computer Science.
While working with Jason, I've learned a couple things. First, he always brings his A-game. I've learned that lesson in our office, on calls with clients and on the tennis court. Second, he'd never say it, but he's probably the smartest person in the (any) room. When we get stumped, we don't turn to Google or Excel's Help function, we ask Jason. And, he usually has the answer. Finally and most importantly, Jason enjoys details. If he codes, he enjoys creating subtly elegant solutions. If we're playing softball, he enjoys hitting a crisp line drive or making a great throw. He enjoys traveling, skiing, tennis, coffee, good sandwiches and the NY Giants.
As a cornerstone of our team, I urge all of our clients to engage Jason. He's unique in that he can think strategically and then roll-up his sleeves and build the solution.

Jason Carrasco
Manager SEM
Jason Carrasco is the second-longest tenured employee at Gupta Media, after Gogi himself. As the first of two Jasons, his nickname is Original Jason, or OJ for short. He does not particularly like this nickname, but you can't choose your own nickname.
Jason oversees all our Search Marketing campaigns. He is a certified Google AdWords professional and is equally proficient with Yahoo! Sponsored Search. We tend to use a lot of keywords in our campaigns, and the sound of his furious typing as a new campaign is being set up often fills the office.
Jason has a degree in Advertising from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School and several years of practical experience living and breathing search marketing. Perhaps more importantly, Jason has an encyclopedic knowledge of music, video games, and pop culture. This helps him write clever and creative ads that tap into current events and trends. He's a big reason why Gupta Media is able to deliver high click volumes without spending a lot per click.

Laura O'Connell
Senior Business Analyst
Laura O'Connell joined Gupta Media in early 2007. As our Business Analyst, she plays a key role in the strategy, setup, and management of all of our marketing campaigns. However, Laura's contributions to our team go far beyond this basic job description
Laura is a recent graduate of Syracuse University's prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where she majored in Advertising. Having graduated from Newhouse myself, I can vouch for Laura being well-prepared to work at Gupta Media.
We are fortunate to have Laura working with us, as she brings her unique creative skills into the work we do. The website you're looking at right now was designed from scratch by Laura, and I remember being amazed by how easily she was able to put everything together, while still doing all of her day-to-day work. Clients occasionally request creative materials from us, and they are consistently impressed with the work Laura does.
As the two youngest members of the team, Laura and I consider ourselves the ambassadors for all things new and hip. We provide a wealth of pop culture knowledge, both to our coworkers and to our clients. I'd like to think that we keep this placed energized.

Nick Guillemette
Business Analyst
Nick Guillemette recently joined our team as a Business Analyst, bumping Laura from the "newest team member" spot. Nick works with Jason Carrasco and Laura, primarily focused on setting up and managing search marketing campaigns for Gupta Media clients.
As far as I know, Nick breaks our string of hiring people with strong upstate New York connections. He (proudly) hails from nearby New Hampshire, and attended George Washington University in our nation's capital. At GW, Nick majored in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing.
Despite sporting a partially-popped suit collar to his interview lunch, Nick has proven to be a dedicated professional here at the office. He has impressed us all with his ability to quickly ramp up and contribute, helping to ease the load on Jason and Laura. I believe he is the current record holder for "shortest time between hiring and offical Google AdWords certification", although our historical record-keeping in this area is suspect.
Nick brings a certain enthusiasm to his work, evidenced by his consistent early arrivals and occasional under-his-breath commentary on just how well (or poorly) his current efforts are faring. He's a welcome addition to Gupta Media, and we are glad to have him aboard.

Joe Schlesinger
Business Analyst
Joe is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he majored in Public Relations. This makes him the third member of our team to graduate from Syracuse's Newhouse School, and the first person to join right after graduation. Despite his lack of SEM experience, Joe has proven to be a fast learner. He has shown an ability to handle both large and small projects with the same amount of effort and attention to detail.
Joe's arrival forced us to rearrange the layout of our office. He now sits in a supercluster with the rest of the Analysts. Between Laura's crazy observations and Nick's random outbursts throughout the day, Joe is forced to endure a good amount of distraction. While he has been fairly quiet so far, I'm sure he'll be corrupted soon enough.
Away from the office, Joe's baseball background has helped him contribute significantly on Gogi and JFrank's softball team. His outstanding fielding is a breath of fresh air, especially when compared to the brief softball career of his manager. He is currently negotiating a 7-figure deal in hopes of joining the roster full-time next season.
As we continue to grow, we're proud to add talented, hardworking, friendly people to our team. Joe fits this mold perfectly, and we're happy to have him at Gupta Media.
